Most people believe that winning at lotto is pure luck. That’s probably true for the majority of lotto players because they don’t try to improve their odds beyond just randomly playing one or two quick pick tickets here or there.

But, according to Dr. Richard Wiseman, author of the book, “The Luck Factor”, you can improve your luck by up to 40% or more. Based on his findings, you can improve your luck by:

1. Play more games. Dr. Wiseman found that players who played more games IMPROVED their luck dramatically. So, make sure you play as many tickets as you can afford each time. If you can only afford to play 5 tickets at a time, save up instead until you can play 50 tickets and your odds will improve greatly.

2. Reduce your losing chances. Eliminate the non-winning numbers and combinations. The system I use does just this and thereby improves your odds tremendously.

3. Don’t let a losing streak deter you. Dr. Wiseman talks about how lucky people distract themselves during a losing streak so they maintain their positive outlook and stay encouraged to keep playing. A loss is just the cost of your entry tickets to winning. Accept it as a normal part of the lotto process and you’ll find that your motivation to keep playing will be consistent.

4. Don’t be superstitious. The book says that lucky people are less superstitious than unlucky people. So, if you think you can’t buy your lotto tickets this week because you walked under a ladder, don’t let it stop you. Ladders can’t control your luck, but you can. It’s amazing how many lotto players use superstition to select or not select certain numbers, like the number 13. Or, they select their numbers according to family birthdays or significant dates in their past. None of these have anything to do with winning numbers and only increase your chance of losing.

5. Keep playing. This is the most important key to improving your luck. If you give up, or lessen your play, you’re probably not going to have much chance to win. The system I use is a long term lotto system. That means, that if you play consistently, the system will give you the greatest chance of winning over time since it eliminates all of the non-winning numbers and combinations.
