How You Can Use Your Favorite Jockeys to Select Value Horse Racing Bets

I use a much more advanced betting strategy, which I have developed for my own personal use but this system will get you value winners if you do not have much time to study racing form. This system will not give you a bet every day but when there is a bet it will be at a good price. Only races with no more than 9 runners are considered.

The system requires you to check on Monday morning before racing for the week begins who is the leading jockey. Most daily newspapers give this information. The leading jockey is the jockey who has ridden most winners. Use this jockey all week. The leading jockey is usually in that position because he is the best and will only be engaged for horses that are really trying.

To select a bet consider any race with 9 or less runners. The selection is the runner, which the leading jockey is riding. The betting forecast in your daily newspaper must quote a price of 4-1 to 12-1 inclusive. If it is shorter than 4-1 or longer than 12-1 there is no bet.

This system can be modified to give even better though fewer bets. Still select races with 9 runners or less. The daily paper will tell you the top trainer at each meeting. The selection is the horse trained by he top trainer at the meeting and ridden by the leading jockey. If the top trainer does not have a runner then use the next trainer below him and so on.
